We are seeking a passionate and experienced Plumbing and Heating Lecturer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our students.
About the role
As a Plumbing and Heating Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in delivering and developing full-time courses in plumbing and heating. You will be responsible for planning and using a range of effective and appropriate teaching and learning techniques to ensure our students receive the best education and support.
Day-to-Day Requirements
- Deliver high-quality teaching to levels 1 and 2 in plumbing and heating.
- Develop and prepare learning materials and resources.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support.
- Engage in curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with the Construction team to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Participate in professional development activities and stay updated with industry trends.
- Support students’ personal development and career progression.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant qualifications in Plumbing and Heating (L3)
- Assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one within an agreed timescale.
- Teaching and Internal Verifiers qualifications are desirable.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the construction industry.
- Passion for innovation and embedding new technologies into the learning environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Lets Teach Programme
Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
